Recognized for their dedication and tireless effort to provide the best services possible to the adults in their community, Kathy Brendzal, Craig Lee, Nancy Martinez, and Deanna Matsumoto were honored by the South Coast Section at the Fall 2014 CCAE Conference in Palm Springs, California.  Kathy Brendzal was selected to receive the Special Recognition Award for her leadership which immensely contributes to the success, growth, and survival of Adult Education locally and throughout the entire state of California.  Craig Lee was awarded the Kirk McKeever Award for his ongoing effort to ensure adult programs are fiscally strong during these exceptionally difficult financial times.  Nancy Martinez was presented the Excellence in Support Services Award for her expertise, work ethic, exceptional people skills, and passion for adult education needed to advocate for adult education concerns.  Deanna Matsumoto was bestowed the Excellence in Teaching Award for her amazing ability to connect with students at their knowledge level and use of creative teaching methods which have allowed her to positively affect hundreds of students’ lives.

These four incredible staff members are among the finest in their fields, always focusing on how best to meet students’ needs.  They serve as role models to students and staff alike.  It is dedicated employees like these that make MCAS the beacon of opportunity that it is to the community.  MCAS is extremely proud to have them on its team.  Congratulations!
